Target Audience:   This course would be suitable for NHS/academic research staff, who would like to develop their skill and confidence in implementing quality control checks, in order to ensure the accuracy of the data and patient safety

Aims and Objectives: To recognise the importance of accurate data collection; Identify the root causes of data inaccuracies; Detect inaccuracies in data collected and determine corrective actions and Devise checks to mitigate the risk of data inaccuracy and promote validity of research data

Course Summary:      By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Define the purpose and discuss the benefits of performing quality control checks on research data
  • Implement strategies to ensure compliance with the appropriate regulations  and research protocol
  • Put into practice techniques to ensure that the data and essential documents are accurate
  • Employ checks to ensure patient safety
