Target Audience:   Research Delivery Managers, Clinical Research Specialty Leads, NHS and Academic Investigators, NHS and HEI R&D staff, RDS and CTU staff, and CRN Network staff as appropriate.

*Those attending should have a basic understanding of cost attribution or  attended the Cost Attribution Training (AcoRD) delivered by the Network.

Aims and Objectives: As a result of this course, participants should understand what Excess Treatment Costs are, how to identify ETCs, and how ETCs can be managed according to current guidance

Course Summary:      Using a mixture of presentation and activities, participants will learn about:

  • DHSC Guidance
  • Revisit the cost categories and the attribution process
  •  Identify ETCs using a variety of activities
  •  Discuss the process for managing ETCs
  •  Support available
