Target Audience: Researchers, R&D Staff, Sponsors, CTUs and Academics
Aims and Objectives: This training will provide an introduction to the process for the management of Excess Treatment Costs (ETCs) which requires completion of a HRA Schedule of Events Cost Attribution Tool (SoECAT). Those attending will gain an understanding of how to complete a SoECAT for grant applications and the support available, so more suitable to those that support Chief Investigators with setting up studies.
The training will provide an overview of the arrangements for the process which will include a webinar demonstrating the functionality of the tool. The training will discuss the requirements of the SoECAT, timescales, and the responsibility of the sponsor as well as the role of the AcoRD Specialist in authorising the SoECAT. The training will also discuss ETCs and go through some examples to illustrate the new process. It is expected that those attending will already have completed our cost attribution training or have some background knowledge of the DHSC AcoRD Guidance to support their learning.
Training will be delivered to a maximum group size of 10 to ensure everyone has the opportunity to share their opinions and ask and answer questions.
