Target Audience: This course will be useful to staff involved with the collection and management of trial data at a trial site. Identifying the root causes of data inaccuracies can help to promote accurate data collection and provide focus for the types of quality control checks that would be useful to implement.
Aims and Objectives: By the end of the session participants should be able to recognise the importance of accurate data collection, identify the root causes of data inaccuracies, detect inaccuracies in data collected and determine corrective actions and devise checks to mitigate the risk of data inaccuracy and promote validity of research data
Course Summary: There are many common areas where inaccuracies in data collection can emerge. This course will help you to identify these common areas in order to promote accurate data management practices. You will explore the types of quality control you can implement to further promote the collection and management of accurate data. The course will be delivered through a mixture of pre-recorded lectures, reading and a live interactive small group work.
